Two days Workshop on "HAZARD & OPERABILTY STUDY (HAZOP)"

Safety Engineers Association organized a Two days Workshop on "HAZARD & OPERABILTY STUDY (HAZOP)" on 16th to 17th December 2016.

Mr P Bose, Director, Industrial Safety & Health, Govt of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the programme. M/s W A Balakumaran and M Lakshminarayanan conducted the two days workshop dealing with outline of HAZOP, case studies in process industries, HAZOP illustrations, simulated and hands on exercises and conducting HAZOP Study.

44^th PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

44^th Professional Development Programme was held on Sunday, 21st August 2016 at Chennai.

Mr. M. Namasivayam, Head, Fire & Safety, DLF, Cybercity, Chennai delivered a talk on "FORMULATING AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN".

15^th Anniversary of SEA organized at Chennai on 28th May 2016.

Mr. P. Bose, Director, Industrial Safety & Health, Govt. of Tamil Nadu was the Chief Guest and he congratulated safety engineers and the Members of SEA on the occasion and appreciated their support and contributions extended to the industry.

Mr. Sreenivasan Jayaganapathi, Sr. General Manager, Brakes India, Sholingor, in his Keynote address identified the areas where Safety Engineers Association can help the industry imparting training to their personnel and assist in identifying hazards and carrying out Risk Assessment in their operations.

A Factory Visit programme was organized to the Athipattu Unit of M/s. Zuari Cements Ltd., on 26th March 2016.

Twenty Members participated. Mr. VSV Rajan, Asia Regional Safety Manager and Mr. P. Jagadeesan, General Manager, EHS coordinated the visit from ZCL.

Mr. Nagendra Prasad, General Manager & Unit Head of Chennai Unit extended hearty welcome to the participants and briefed on the Operations.
